How to Get Your Russia Stay Cancellation
A temporary residence permit is a stamp in a foreign person's passport that lets them live and work in Russia for three years.
If there are good reasons, it can be canceled for a person who is not a member of this country.
The piece also explains how to revoke a temporary residence permit for a foreigner who does not follow immigration laws or commits minor administrative offenses.
In Russia, temporary residence permits are often canceled because of
▣ A foreigner stays in another country for more than 180 days;
▣ A foreigner lives and works in a different area from where the paper was issued;
Pay attention! If the Federal Migration Service asks a foreigner to move, they must fill out an application stating why they are moving.
The following reasons can lead to the cancellation of a temporary residence permit:
- promoting extremist activities - giving fake papers or information - being found guilty of a serious offense or especially serious crime - having an outstanding or unexpunged conviction for a serious crime in Russia or another country - having a dangerous disease - being held administratively liable for breaking the rules of stay in the Russian Federation more than twice in a year - if a foreign citizen left Russia to live in another country permanently - if a foreign citizen is outside the Russian Federation for more than six months - recognition of the marriage as fictitious, on the basis of which the TRP was issued; - If the stay of a foreign citizen in the Russian Federation is undesirable; - Transfer of a foreigner by a foreign state under an international agreement on readmission; - Court decision on deprivation / restriction of parental rights in relation to a child who is a Russian citizen;
Federal Law No. 110 has the full list of reasons for canceling a temporary residence permit.
If a TRP was not granted or was later canceled, the foreigner can apply for a new one in the same way, but not sooner than one year from the date that their last application was rejected or that their TRP was canceled.
Steps to cancel a TRP: 1. An FMS officer makes a verification request to the government or to talk to witnesses, 2. The decision to cancel is approved.
3. The stranger gets a notice in person or by mail within three days of the decision being made.
4. The passport is either stamped "canceled" or taken away. 5. When they leave Russia, they get a certificate with a picture or a visa with a TP1 mark.
After the TRP is no longer valid, the traveler has to leave Russia within 15 days.
If the officials found that cancelling the TRP was illegal, it could be restored.
