<turbo:content>

How to close a company in Russia?

Liquidation of a limited liability company in Russia

There’s no point in me explaining why companies are forced to close, but today we’ll talk about how to do it in Russia and whether you can simply abandon it indefinitely. What happens if you don't liquidate your company? You might think that if your LLC doesn’t operate, you can just leave it and the authorities will understand. The liquidation procedure is complicated and troublesome, and the legal entity will eventually be closed by the Federal Tax Service, which might seem attractive. However, this decision could lead to some unpleasant consequences.

Although a dormant organization with no income or employees is not required to pay taxes or contributions to various funds, it still must report to authorities from time to time. Failure to submit reports and returns will result in fines from the Federal Tax Service and the Social Fund. Additionally, the company may be fined by Rosstat (Federal Service of State Statistics) for failing to submit statistical reports. Business owners can also face fines, and numerous violations can even result in deportation for foreign nationals.

So, if you want to shut your company down because it no longer operates, what else should you know? You might think that if your business has debts to contractors or clients and they try to collect money through court, you don’t have to pay them. The debts will just be written off with the company. Indeed, while an individual entrepreneur is liable for debts with their personal property, an LLC is only liable with its charter capital. However, the director and members can be held vicariously liable for the company’s debts and liabilities. This is called “subsidiary liability” in Russia. That means if a firm goes bankrupt and bankruptcy proceedings are initiated, but the company’s assets aren’t enough to pay creditors, the remaining debts can be recovered from its management if it’s proven that their actions led to the company’s insolvency. So, if things are bad, pretending you’re not involved won’t work.

Another point is, as I mentioned earlier, the tax service can, but doesn’t have to, forcibly liquidate an abandoned company under two conditions: no transactions on the accounts and no reporting for the last 12 months. Today, the tax service is actively cleaning up the registers of business entities. Often, they inspect premises, and tax representatives visit the LLC's registered address to verify whether business activities are being conducted there. If this is not confirmed, data on unreliability is entered into the state register.

When liquidating an organization with outstanding debts or one that didn’t submit reports, the majority participant and the director will be prohibited from registering another LLC and participating in its management for several years due to disqualification. The tax service actively checks how real the business relationships are and requires that due diligence be observed. Therefore, companies must find ways to ensure they know everything about their potential partners. If one of the founders or directors turns out to have been disqualified—whether recently or a long time ago—the chances of cooperation are almost zero. Additionally, participation in competitions and tenders is blocked.

So, if you want to continue doing business in the future, make sure to close your inactive LLC. Note that I’m talking about Russian practice, and things may be different in other countries.

How to liquidate a company?

This process takes time. Although the steps don’t have special names like dissolution, winding up, or termination in English convention, it’s still a multi-step and complex process.

Hold a meeting of the LLC members or prepare the sole founder’s resolution if you started the organization alone. In the minutes or resolution, write that you decided to begin a voluntary liquidation of the LLC, approve the composition of the liquidation commission and its chairman, or appoint a sole liquidator. This function can be taken on by the director, accountant, sole founder, any LLC member, or any third party—natural or legal. The liquidator or liquidation commission will manage the company, including representing the legal entity in court without the power of attorney.
Additionally, approve the procedure and terms of liquidation. The maximum possible term is one year, and it’s safest to indicate this. For example, if you indicate that the liquidation period will be 3 months and the process drags on, you’ll need to extend it by applying to the commercial court, which will involve paying a 6,000 ruble fee and waiting for the court’s decision.

Report the liquidation to the tax authority within 3 days using the form R1516. In five working days, the tax office will issue a certificate confirming the entry in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities that your company is in the process of liquidation. From this moment on, you can no longer change the constituent documents.

Notify creditors. Publish a notice of liquidation in the State Registration Bulletin. This period can be less than 2 months. During this time, anyone to whom your LLC owes money can demand repayment of the debt. Within three working days from the decision date, enter information into the Unified Federal Register of Facts of Activities of Legal Entities. Also, send a written notice of liquidation to counterparties to whom you have debts.

Warn employees in writing about the upcoming dismissal no later than two months in advance. You must also submit a written notice to the employment service no later than 2 months in advance. If the dismissal is for more than 3 months, ensure this notice is provided in time. After this period, terminate the employees’ contracts. Remember to give them severance pay, compensation for unused vacation days, and maintain their average monthly salary while they’re looking for new employment, but no longer than two months.

Prepare the interim liquidation balance sheet. At least two months after publishing the liquidation notice, prepare an interim liquidation balance sheet. This can be done by an accountant. It must be approved by a meeting of the founders or by decision of the sole founder, then submitted to the tax office. You also need to attach confirmation of the publication in the State Registration Bulletin.

Pay off debts. After the interim balance sheet is approved, settle the company’s debts in the following order:

Pay those owed for moral damage or harm to life and health.

Pay employees for wages and severance pay.

After one month, pay taxes, insurance premiums, fines, and penalties.

Pay any remaining debts.

Prepare the final liquidation balance sheet. Once debts are cleared, prepare the final liquidation balance sheet, which must also be approved by the members or sole founder.

File closing reports with the tax service and social and pension funds within a month. If your LLC has any property left, it must be distributed among the participants.

Submit a termination request to the Federal Tax Service. The state fee for terminating a firm is just 500 rubles.

As you can see, there are many nuances that business owners must keep in mind to close their companies properly. It’s worth finding liquidation experts who will handle most of the process for you. We have extensive experience in helping with the dissolution of legal entities. If needed, don’t hesitate to contact us.
</turbo:content>

<turbo:content>

Registration of foreigners in Russia 2026

Registration of foreigners for migration purposes in Russia

One of the things a foreigner must do while in Russia is to notify immigration authorities of his or her place of stay, i.e., register. How this is done and when it's required, we'll discuss today. So, let's get started.

First of all, I want to warn you that registering for migration purposes in Russia should not be confused with registration at the place of residence. The latter resembles permanent registration at the place of residence for Russian citizens, and it is a stamp in the passport or residence permit. Plus, it is only available for Russian residents. But today, we will talk about registration for immigration purposes. This is not a stamp but a separate document with an address, and it is issued mostly to foreigners with a visa or, in some cases, to foreigners with residency. This document is a must for foreign nationals when they are in Russia.

Who registers a foreigner?

As a rule, it’s their inviting party: university if they’re a student, employer if they’re an employee, or a person who invited the foreigner on a work patent. The landlord registers a non-citizen who rents their apartment, medical facilities and various hotels register their patients and guests. However, a foreigner is responsible for their own registration if they are going to live in an apartment or house they own.

But does it mean that if the property is not yours, you don’t need to watch this video? Not really. Here we will cover some very important points to keep in mind.

Where does it get done?

A non-citizen can be registered through the migration department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs or through intermediaries, namely the multifunctional center or the state services website. In case of initial registration, you can also apply by mail.

What does it look like?

Registration is a part of the arrival notification form. It's a document with seals in which the foreign national’s name, passport data, address, and the period until which this registration is valid are written. We will talk about this period later in this video. Please note that this is an important paper, and you shouldn’t throw it away until you get a new registration or fly out of the country.

What documents are needed to register someone?

Of course, a passport with a valid visa or residence permit is always required. The exemption from the visa requirement applies to visa-free foreigners if the period of visa-free stay in Russia hasn’t expired, but there are few such countries. You will also be asked to provide an immigration card and previous registration if this is not the initial registration. The remaining documents depend on where the non-citizen lives and on what basis. For instance, the owner of the dwelling where you will be living provides proof of ownership.

What is the expiration date of the registration?

Please note that registration is issued not just to a certain person, but to a specific passport, visa or residence permit, work patent, and address. In other words, the date you or your inviting party can and will indicate in the registration is limited by the date of your permit documents. If you were given a new one-year visa, your registration card will expire in one year as well. But if your visa is valid for 1 year and your passport expires in 8 months, for example, the expiration date in the registration will be in 8 months. That is, the shortest period is indicated when you move to another place, the registration is also to be reissued. The same applies to situations where you change your passport, whether because the old one expired, you lost your previous passport, or some personal data has changed. If you come from a visa-free country without a visa, just as a tourist, your registration will be valid for no more than 3 months.

How fast should a foreigner register?

It depends on the type of registration. Initial registration means that a foreign national has just arrived from abroad and must report their arrival to the Ministry of Internal Affairs within seven working days after crossing the border. There are exceptions to the rule: citizens of Belarus, Ukraine, and highly qualified specialists and their family members, regardless of their origin, can register within 90 days. Foreigners from Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and citizens of the Eurasian Economic Union member states working in Russia must register within 30 days. Those who come from Uzbekistan or Tajikistan can undergo this procedure within 15 days.

Registration at a new place of residence.

If you already have a registration, it must also be completed within seven working days, with the exception of highly qualified specialists. They have the right to do this within 30 days. Please note that this includes hospitalization and hotel accommodation. Hotels and hospitals register non-citizens at their address. So, once you are discharged or check out, you will have to re-register at home. Such facilities submit information to the Ministry of Internal Affairs quickly, within a day, through a special program. So, if you are staying at a hotel for only a couple of days, don’t think that this doesn’t apply to you.

Registration is not required for sailors and crew members of air and other transport who make stops in Russia as part of the crew or participate in international traffic and are at work. And if you stay in Russia for no longer than 7 days, their registration isn’t required either.

To extend registration, a foreigner has only three working days, or, if the current registration expires early, then until its expiration. As I said, registration is limited by the validity of the permit documents. So, a new one is obtained, for example, when renewing or receiving for the first time a visa or work permit, receiving a residence permit, or getting a new passport.

Recommendations.

Usually, foreigners invited by companies or universities don’t encounter problems related to registration. Although situations vary, the same is true for hospitals and hotels, but it's very easy to run into a landlord who simply doesn’t want to register you. So, I recommend you ask the potential landlord about it before moving into the apartment. Also, make sure that the arrival form that you or your friend who invited you fills out is up to date. They do change from time to time, even if only slightly.

Another thing that may seem obvious is to keep your inviting party informed about your movements and changes in documents.

For violations of the immigration registration rule, a fine from 5,000 to 7,000 rubles is provided for both the non-citizen and their inviting party. And if the foreigner was invited not by an individual but by an organization, the fine can reach half a million rubles for one violation. Additionally, the foreign national can be deported from the country for two fines within a year. So, take it seriously.
</turbo:content>

<turbo:content>

Visas to get a temporary residence permit in Russia

How to get a temporary residence permit in Russia?

A temporary residence permit (RVP) refers to a residence permit issued for a period of 3 years. Any foreign national legally staying in Russia can apply for it. It is generally the first step toward acquiring Russian citizenship and is marked by a special stamp in the passport. It cannot be extended. After the RVP expires, the holder must either apply for a permanent residence permit, leave the country, or, in certain special cases, apply for citizenship.

According to standard procedure, a foreign national can apply for a temporary residence permit under a quota approved by the Russian government. This means that the government sets a certain annual number of temporary permits for each region, and the region cannot issue more permits than those determined. For example, 750 permits are available for the Moscow region in 2024. Even if there are more applicants, the quota is distributed evenly throughout the year, with a specific number allocated each month. However, whether to accept an application or not is decided by a special commission. There are criteria that can significantly increase your chances of success, which I will mention later.

When can you get an RVP without taking into account the quota (i.e., guaranteed cases)?

You are married to a Russian citizen and live in the region where your spouse legally resides.

You have joined the Russian military for the period of your service.

You are a participant in the state program to assist the voluntary resettlement of compatriots living abroad and their family members.

You are a citizen of a state that was part of the USSR and pursued higher education in Russia.

You are a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Moldova, or Ukraine.

You are moving to Russia in accordance with international treaties signed by the Russian Federation.

You are eligible for a permanent residence permit without needing a temporary one (more on this in another video).

You are a stateless person and have a temporary identity card of a stateless person in Russia, or you are a stateless person who resided in Ukraine and was recognized as a refugee or received asylum in Russia.

You can apply for an RVP together with your minor children or legally incompetent relatives.

Step-by-step instructions for obtaining an RVP under the quota:

Obtain a quota: The first thing you need to do is get into the quota. This is not a document; rather, your name will be included in the database of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD). Then, you can apply for a temporary residence permit, which is a separate procedure.

Apply for the quota: You apply for the quota through the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The application is considered within one month, and the decision is announced within six days. The list of individuals granted a quota can be found in the same MVD department where you applied.

Undergo medical examinations: You need to have a medical exam, pay the state fee, and apply for the permit. Note that if you receive a quota in 2024, you will not be allowed to apply again in 2025.

Visa procedures: The Ministry of Internal Affairs will send notice about its decision. Applications for visas for foreign nationals are considered within four months, or visa-free for two months. You will come to the Ministry of Internal Affairs to get the permit, which will be stamped into your passport as a separate document. This is done within three working days.

Multi-entry temporary resident visa: After the permit is issued, you will be granted a multi-entry temporary resident visa that is valid until the permit expires.

Documents required:

Besides your personal documents, when applying for a quota, I recommend presenting evidence that you either work or study in Russia, have relatives here, hold a profession in demand in the country, have a diploma (even if earned abroad), or have real estate or some form of income in Russia. This will help convince the commission that you are a person of interest to the country.

To apply for the permit itself, you will need to get tested for HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B and C, tuberculosis, and drugs in your body. You will also need to provide a certificate of no criminal record. If you have residence in another country, you must present the residence permit.

The most complicated requirement is proving proficiency in Russian. Remember that before applying, all documents in a foreign language must be translated by a certified translator and notarized. Documents issued in a foreign country must also be preliminarily apostilled or legalized in the country where they were issued.
</turbo:content>

<turbo:content>

If I buy a property from a Russian not in Russia - what should I know?

Is it possible for someone who is not a Russian citizen to legally purchase property in Moscow?

Let's imagine that you, a foreigner, want to buy real estate in Russia from a Russian citizen. What should you remember to avoid legal issues and scams? Let's discuss it.

Naturally, the first piece of advice that will apply not only to Russian citizens but to any seller is identity verification. This is what a Russian passport looks like. This is what you should check when verifying the passport: no corrupt fonts, no missing signature, no watermarks, and no strange visas in the country of the transaction (if applicable). If the visa looks unusual or if the passport was issued a long time ago but looks like new, it’s a red flag.

The best idea is to run a check on the future seller's identity documents. Ask them to show you their internal passport. It’s the main ID for Russian citizens in Russia. You can see an example on the screen. Enter the passport details on the government website by clicking on the link shown, and you’ll find out if the document is existing and valid.

It’s more complicated with the travel passport, but as lawyers, we can check it too for compliance with the state requirements, as well as entry and exit stamps, claims of other possible owners, and more.

It may happen that you buy the house of your dreams, only to find out that the seller was not the sole rightful owner. The seller might not have had the legal authority to sell it. In such cases, claimants can go to court, and depending on what the judge decides, either the deal will be canceled, or the claimants will demand compensation. Of course, this depends heavily on the laws of the country, but ideally, you want to ensure that the person selling the property has the right to do so.

When can this happen? Firstly, if a person is married, Russian law states that anything acquired during the marriage is community property and belongs to both spouses equally, 50/50. This means you will at least need the consent of the spouse, even if the property is registered solely in the name of one spouse.

Secondly, the property might belong to a person who is now deceased, and multiple Russian heirs may be laying claim to it. If probate has already been initiated, one of the heirs who owns a share might want to sell the property quickly before it is divided among the other heirs. Sadly, you are unlikely to find out this information yourself without the help of a lawyer.

Another issue is the power of attorney. Real estate can also be sold via a power of attorney, but in this case, the chance of fraud is very high. It is crucial to check the power of attorney before signing any contract. What must a power of attorney include?

A power of attorney issued in Russia must be notarized on a yellow form with a notary seal, containing the notary’s coat of arms. It must include the document's name, the place of issue (city and notary office), the date of execution, information about the principal and the attorney-in-fact (full name, place of residence, and some other data), as well as the powers granted to the attorney-in-fact (i.e., what they are allowed to do). It should also include the signature of the principal and may contain the period for which the power of attorney is valid, along with any rights regarding delegation if applicable.

If any of the required points are missing, it could either be a forgery or simply an invalid document. Even if the power of attorney is genuine and was correctly issued by the notary, there’s no guarantee the principal hasn’t canceled it a few days ago. This can only be checked through the notary’s system.

Additionally, please note that such a document ceases to be valid if the person represented dies, is declared incompetent, has limited capacity, or is declared missing. Unfortunately, it’s extremely difficult for a Russian citizen, let alone a foreigner, to check this, so don’t hesitate to contact us if you need help with Russian documents.
</turbo:content>

<turbo:content>

How to send your workers to Russia

Manpower Supply for Russia: What Employers Should Know

If you are a foreign company and you want to open an office in Russia, and you will also need to send your workers into Russia, then you will inevitably face the question of how to register your employees to work in Russia. For a long period of work—more than 3 months—there are two options for registering employees.

The first option is the regular worker visa. The main difficulty in obtaining it is that employees must take Russian language, history, and law exams after arriving in Russia.

The second option, which this video is dedicated to, is the highly qualified worker visa. What are its advantages? Its main advantage over a regular work visa is that there is no requirement for the Russian language, history, and law exams. In addition, a highly qualified specialist can temporarily move to another region to work, rather than being restricted to just one region. Plus, such a worker can invite family members to live in Russia.

However, there are some requirements. First, the salary of the highly qualified employee must be at least 750,000 rubles quarterly. As of April 2025, this is almost $10,000. Second, such an employee must confirm their high qualification with documents. The law states that the qualification is determined by the employer, but the forms filled out by the employer require the indication of the employee’s diploma.

If your employee meets these criteria, then let's talk about the documents and the registration procedure.

Here is the list of documents:

Employer’s permission to hire a highly qualified specialist. It is drawn up according to a special form established by law. A photograph is pasted onto the petition.

Diploma. This is preferable but not required if available, along with its translation.

Notarized copy of the passport with a notarized translation into Russian. The translation of the passport should be done in Russian and certified by a notary.

Original employment contract. At the time the documents are submitted, the contract must already be signed.

Letter of guarantee from the employer on the company's letterhead. In this letter, the employer guarantees that they will provide insurance for the period of work, as well as the employee’s flight in the event of termination of the contract.

Power of attorney for the person who will submit the documents on company letterhead to represent the interests of the company.

Health certificate for the worker confirming that they have passed all required tests in Russia, including the absence of HIV.

Employee fingerprint card obtained in Russia.

State fee.

Insurance certificate.

Employer’s constituent documents.

What is the process?

All these documents are submitted to the migration service of Russia. To apply, you should make an appointment in advance. Documents are to be submitted in the region where the employee is expected to work or where the company is registered. After applying, a work permit is issued within 2 weeks, and a highly qualified specialist visa is issued within 1 month. In addition, when applying, it is necessary to indicate where exactly the worker will receive the visa—either in Russia or at the embassy in their home country.

That is all for today. Should you have any difficulties when inviting a foreign worker, feel free to reach out to us.
</turbo:content>

<turbo:content>

Legal procedure for marrying a foreigner in Russia.

Getting married with a Russian citizen or in Russia

Today, we’ll talk about the legal procedure for marrying a foreigner in Russia. I’ll follow the plan to address how long it takes to get married, if it’s possible to shorten this period, the list of documents required for marriage in Russia, and the consequences of marriage in Russia—the pros and cons. So, let’s get started!

First of all, it’s important to know that there are no obstacles to marriage between a Russian citizen and a foreigner from any country. This is expressly permitted by the Family Code of Russia. Marriage can be performed in registered offices, known as “ZAGS” in Russia, in diplomatic and consular bodies, or in the territories of foreign states.

Article number 11 of the Family Code establishes a one-month period from the date of applying for marriage until its state registration. The head of the registry office can change this period, both upwards and downwards, up to the marriage registration on the very day of filing for it. The only person legally authorized to make a decision on changing the term or for the state registration of the marriage is the head of the registry office. No other officials at ZAGS have the right to resolve such issues.

We are often asked under what circumstances the one-month period can be changed for marriage. If we look at the Family Code, we see that its provisions don’t establish a specific list of reasons that could serve as a basis for reducing or increasing this period. Paragraph 1 of Article 11 of the Family Code only talks about the validity of such reasons. At the same time, the degree of validity of the reasons is determined on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the interests of the individuals who applied for marriage.

In practice, we can see cases when the ZAGS office recognizes the validity of the reason for shortening the term when the couple has long been in an actual marital relationship. Various documents can be used as evidence, such as a child’s birth certificate, commercial service payment receipts containing both parties' data, or a contract—such as employment or credit agreements—where one of the parties is the borrower and the other is the co-borrower, etc.

Other reasons for changing the marriage registration term may include the bride's pregnancy, an imminent childbirth, a threat to the health or life of one of the parties, or conscription of the groom for urgent military service. Thus, good reasons and special circumstances are evaluated individually.

What documents are needed to marry a foreigner in Russia?

The list of documents required to marry a foreigner in Russia isn’t significantly different from the general requirements. In addition to a mutual application in form number 7 from the couple, you must submit:

The Russian citizen’s passport

The foreigner’s passport with a notarized translation

A certificate from the authorized border control of the foreign state stating that the foreigner has no valid marriage or that it has been dissolved

You do not need to provide temporary or permanent residence permits to the registry office. The marriage registration fee is 350 rubles, and the marriage certificate is issued in a standard form.

What about the place of state registration?

Of course, these are the registered offices, but there are exceptions. The law allows for marriage registration outside the ZAGS office for various reasons that make it impossible for either or both of the individuals to arrive at the place of state registration. This may include a serious illness. In such cases, state registration of the marriage can take place in medical or other organizations where the persons to be married are, or even at their home. They must apply for marriage with a request to register it outside the registered office.

We are often asked about the reasons that might make marriage impossible. These include:

An undissolved registered marriage of one of the persons intending to marry

Marriage between close relatives (such as direct ascendants and descendants—parents and children, grandparents and grandchildren, full and half-siblings)

When adoptive parents and adopted children file for marriage

When one of the parties has been previously recognized by the court as incapable due to a mental disorder

Thus, anyone looking to marry must provide various documents, such as a divorce certificate or death certificate of the deceased spouse, a court decision that has entered into legal force recognizing the marriage as invalid, or a certificate from the registry office confirming the state registration of the above events.

What are the advantages of registering a marriage with a foreign national?

You can obtain a temporary residence permit and a permanent residence permit in Russia without complying with quotas. This right becomes available immediately after the marriage registration.

You can apply for Russian citizenship after three years of marriage. If a foreigner does not have a marriage, the period for applying for citizenship is five years.

Automatic assignment of Russian citizenship to children born from the marriage.

But one shouldn’t forget that if a marriage is registered solely to get Russian citizenship, it may be recognized as a fake. However, proving that a marriage is fake is quite difficult because one would need to demonstrate that there is no actual family relationship, and the spouses reside separately from each other.

What are the disadvantages of registering a marriage between a Russian and a foreigner?

There is an obligation to obtain a temporary residence permit and a permanent residence permit in Russia. Without such permission, a foreigner will only be able to stay in Russia on the basis of a visa.

Summing up the above information:

I want to say that you can always contact us if you are denied state registration of marriage in Russia. We can help you handle the case, whether in the registry office or in court.
</turbo:content>

Common reasons include document forgery, providing knowingly false information about oneself, inability to support oneself and one’s family at the subsistence minimum level, exception — recognition of the foreigner as incapacitated. Participation in terrorism and extremism, being outside Russia for more than 6 months during a calendar year. Exception — illness or death of a close relative, emergency medical treatment or a business trip, having two or more administrative offenses in the Russian Federation, refusal to undergo fingerprinting, entering into an invalid marriage with a Russian citizen that was declared void by the court.

The existence of a court sentence in criminal cases. Appealing a decision of supervisory authorities. A decision to annul an RVP or residence permit can be appealed in an administrative or judicial procedure. In the first case, the complaint is submitted to the territorial division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs within three working days from the moment such a decision is received. By the way, we talked about how to obtain a residence permit in Russia in a simplified manner by profession in this blog.

The complaint must contain the name of the division or its official whose decision is being appealed, information about the migrant, place of residence, contact phone number, email address and postal address where the applicant may receive a response. The details of the appealed decision of the territorial body of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the arguments on which the migrant disagrees with the decision to annul the RVP or residence permit.

In the second case, the claim is filed with the court within 3 months from the moment of receiving the notification of document annulment.

Judicial practice on appealing the annulment of a residence permit.

Example number one — the migrant lost.
Before being issued a residence permit, the person had already been repeatedly brought to administrative responsibility. When receiving the residence permit, the foreigner was given a statement confirming that he was familiar with the grounds for its annulment. Nevertheless, within 2 months, the migrant committed administrative offenses. Living without registration at the specified address, for which he received a fine of 2,000 rubles. He did not submit to the territorial body of the Ministry of Internal Affairs at his place of residence a notification confirming his residence in Russia, for which he was also fined 2,000 rubles. After this, the Ministry of Internal Affairs made a decision to ban his entry into Russia for 5 years. The migrant was not saved in court by the fact that the decision was never sent to his address, nor by the presence of a mutual child with a Russian citizen.

Example number two — the migrant lost.
The person stayed outside Russia for more than 6 months in Azerbaijan due to activities related to military registration, obtaining a military ID, and undergoing necessary medical examination procedures. The citizen applied to a medical organization, but not due to the need for emergency medical care. No evidence was provided to the court that the illnesses of his mother, who required constant assistance due to their severity, prevented his return. The judges considered that knowledge of the Russian language and the absence of information about violations of Russian legislation do not exclude the possibility of annulling a Russian residence permit.

Faced with migration issues?
Our team of experienced lawyers will help you obtain a visa, residence permit, or even citizenship. We guarantee legal support, an individual approach, and confidentiality. Trust our experts.

Judicial practice on appealing the annulment of an RVP.

Example number three — the migrant won.
When submitting an application for an RVP, the migrant indicated an incorrect address of his brother in the section containing information about family members or relatives. Later, specialists from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, based on data from the migration registration information system, discovered the fact of providing false information regarding a close relative, namely the brother. On this basis, a decision was made to annul the RVP. In court, the person explained the incorrect information by stating that he did not intend to hide the address of his brother’s residence or actual stay, with whom he had long lost contact, so he indicated an address he previously knew. These arguments convinced the judges, because the presence or absence of this information did not influence the decision to issue the RVP, and the migrant had no intention of providing knowingly false information.

Example number four — the migrant lost.
The person received an offer to enter into a fictitious marriage with a Russian citizen for a fee of 60,000 rubles for the purpose of obtaining an RVP. The payment for the service was transferred to a bank card. The court declared the marriage fictitious. After the marriage was concluded, the spouses did not live together and did not run a shared household. The RVP was annulled.
</turbo:content>

<turbo:content>

Cost of Living in Russia

How much does it cost to live in Russia for a month?

I will try to explain each and every thing here to all of you. Stay on the blog. If you are new to the channel, subscribe.

We are going to start this blog with very interesting things. I really liked this, and I met many people and received very good feedback about this, and I also liked it a lot. We are definitely going to talk about the inflation in Russia. But first, the part that I liked the most here and is beneficial for both you and me, I am sharing with you. Here, as you see in India, while working or the people who are about to work, there are many such people – maybe you are also one of them, maybe I am too. There are many such people that in a day, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, twenty, they eat things like gutkha, and so on. They spit all day long. If this thing is stopped in India, how good it would be. But what about here? What is it here? Here, you will neither find a tea stall nor a gutkha or tobacco shop, nor a cigarette shop anywhere in small stalls on corners or on the road or footpath. There is no such system. I liked this thing a lot here, that for those who spend unnecessarily, for those who spend a lot unnecessarily during the day, your unnecessary spending will not happen here at all, and this is very beneficial for the workers.

It doesn’t mean here that there is nothing unnecessary to spend on. There are many things here. If you want to spend, there are many things in which a lot of your money can go. But we Indians come here to work, so we should focus on our work and think about saving our money. The things that are normally fine for us, normally things, are fine. But if you go somewhere far without necessity, roam around, eat at a restaurant, the food here is very strange. But still, if you eat in a good hotel or restaurant, it is very costly. Very expensive. So going to all those places for people like us makes no sense. Those are side things.

Let’s move forward. It doesn’t mean you stop roaming around here. If we talk about transportation here, it is very costly because you are new here. You don’t know the Russian language. English is absolutely zero here. Zero means they don’t even understand. Many people don’t understand anything. Only 1% of people you will meet can understand some English. Even that, very little. So in the starting, you may face many difficulties with transportation. What will you do? You will book a taxi, and if you book a taxi, it normally costs 1000, 2000, 500, 2500 rubles. The starting fare is like 400, 500, 600, 800 and so on. It can’t be less than this if you book a taxi.

Now, if you take a bus, there is a good system here. Earlier, when I lived in the city, we could go anywhere to the last stop for only 35 rubles, anywhere in between or to the last stop in the city. But now, in the place where I am present, I went at least 40 to 45 km away. I am sharing the ticket with you. I went 40 to 45 km away, and I had to pay this much. You see, I had to pay this much here. For all these things, the cost may be slightly higher. If you want to control it, it is in your hands. You can control it.

Let’s say you are a bit spendthrift, roaming around, then your expense, like mine, is a bit higher because I go to many places to show and tell you people. You probably won’t roam as much as me. Still, your tea, breakfast, some apple, waffle, or if you bring bananas, you eat them, for your personal food, this comes to around 2000–3000 rubles per month. No tension at all. That means if you go out three to four Sundays in a month, what will you do? Bring something to eat, some fruits, some snacks. All these things for your personal food when you get hungry at work or feel hungry and look for food, you have to bring these things. So this small expense comes to around 2500–3000 rubles.

Talking about groceries, the minimum groceries can cost from 3000 to a maximum of 10,000, depending on how one eats. If we talk about vegetables, what is available, at what price, let me show you. For food, I have to go a bit far from here. So let’s go and show you. This city is very new for us. Very special and beautiful. The name of this city is Tula, where I came from today, and I gathered all the information. Next Sunday, I will give you a full tour. Very beautiful city.

Here, it is not clear where the market is. I came to the market. I will tell you all what you get here. Currently, in August, this cucumber is 150 rubles per kilogram. This is the Russian price. I don’t eat this because it is a strange thing. You get things like this.

If you have been reading our blog so far, subscribe to the channel. In this season, you will find vegetables that are very expensive, but you don’t have to live exactly where I am. You will live in different cities; prices and things vary. Maximum, many things are cheap too, around 40–50 rubles per kg. Here, we mostly use potatoes, lentils, and chicken or mutton.

In malls, onions cost around 59 rubles per kg. Potatoes, onions, and other items are available at minimum and maximum rates. So, if a person eats vegetables and manages groceries like this, rice costs 99 rubles per kg. Good quality rice. So if you only consume vegetables, your expense comes to around 3500–4000 rubles per month.

If you use meat, chicken, mutton, depending on what you get locally, you may pay 600–1000 rubles per piece. So maximum expense comes near 5000 rubles. You don’t have to spend much on soap, shampoo, etc., if you bring them from home. Here, utensils, cleaning, and room maintenance are done by the company, no cost to you. No water bill, no electricity bill, no other charges. Company takes care of all this. Many people manage with the 5000 rubles given by the company.
</turbo:content>

<turbo:content>

Which field is best in Russia for foreigners

Highest Paying Jobs in Russia

Why did I write this? I specifically wrote this because for the last two to three years, I have been talking to people like this, and I know very well how people in India are suffering from increasing unemployment. I can understand this very well. But if we talk about nowadays, this issue is increasing even more. People are working. People are doing jobs everywhere, but the situation is only this: somehow, somewhere, some miracle should happen. Some job should come where we can secure our family and ourselves properly. Proper security should be ensured. If tomorrow we get sick, if tomorrow we cannot work, then our family should be able to live at least some days with the savings we earned from a good job.

But the biggest problem is that the place and the work we are doing in India, if you see it, there are no savings. If we take 10–15 days or a month off, the situation becomes something like you can understand. That’s how it becomes. So this mindset remains with us. Whether we are somewhere else, abroad, in India, anywhere, we want a job with good salary where we can say to ourselves that now everything is fine. We will stay for three to four years, earn good money, pay off loans, EMI, and so on. But in today’s times, whether educated or uneducated, working in any sector or wanting to work in any sector, everyone’s situation is the same, and everyone wants a good salary, a good job where they can go and work properly.

Let’s get to the point. You can better understand the current situation in India. But what about the work we are doing in Russia now? Am I able to secure my family here? Am I able to save here? I will try to explain this to you in detail. Look, first of all, tell me honestly, since when have you been waiting for a good salary, a good opportunity? Since when have you been waiting for a miracle, that something happens? How many years have we wasted in this cycle, waiting for something good? Something suitable for me. Suitable for my school. I am educated. I am an engineer. I am a lot of things. So how can I do this work? How can I start? I want better than this. I deserve better than this. You know this. You understand this. I don’t understand. The one giving you the work doesn’t understand. Today, both educated and uneducated are measured on the same scale. The one who works harder goes up, and those who work less or think, “No, I am so educated. I studied so many years, so I will not do this work at all,” they wait for something better. In this waiting, unknowingly, we have seen better and better opportunities pass before our eyes, but we didn’t understand. We stayed with ourselves, thinking a lot about ourselves: “I have studied a lot. I speak English well. I have a degree. I have IT sector knowledge. I am a software engineer.” Many thoughts run in our minds. And maybe because of this, we don’t get all these things in one place. Then we reject it, and even if by chance we get something suitable, somewhere, something makes us feel: “This is not for me. I cannot afford it, or I am not capable of doing this work there. What if I get stuck there?” Thinking about these internal matters, we are not able to move anywhere. We are revolving in the same maze.

I am not saying that you should go to any place to work anywhere. Do not just work on your skill. No, what I mean is very simple: if you want to go somewhere, do something, want a new field, whatever you learned in your studies, whatever experience you have, use it there. If you want to come here, when I came, I came to a place with only 32 thousand salary. I started working there, and while working, I worked on myself, worked hard. The things inside you, you can prove there. Nobody will give you ready-made things. The company owner, the one hiring employees, will not serve ready-made things to you. Never. You will come, work here. Based on your experience, your skills, within 1–1.5 years, you will settle. If you think that we will go abroad for this work and maybe get stuck, no, absolutely not. You can quit if you want. You can come back after a year or a year and a half, go again, and do very well. If you are stopping somewhere thinking like this, then I am advising you. And for our workers who do general help, do labor work, a better opportunity never comes by just saying “I am better.” I know many people who didn’t even expect it but are earning very well here. And I know many people who expected to earn a lot but didn’t. It depends on luck and hard work. You come here, how well you can do, how better you can do, that decides your value.

Overall, the point is how much you can earn in Russia, what kind of security can be there, what kind of savings can happen. I know many people working here, saving very well, sending their home, returning, celebrating holidays, doing everything. But the difference is, if you are a software engineer, developer, until you get the right opportunity, you won’t come to Russia. If you are an electrician, until you get a good electrician company, you won’t come. Don’t think like this. Whatever opportunity you get related to your skill and field, examine it properly, see a good agent or good people, and apply. Here, after coming, you will show your skill, show your work, show how much you have inside. Slowly, things get better. You all know that the world is such that no one wants to give. Everyone wants to take. So you have to earn from your hard work, your work, and make it better. Don’t lose in search of better; make yourself better. Everything will become better along with you. So don’t lose in search of better, first make yourself better. Everything else will improve with you.
</turbo:content>

<turbo:content>

Visit Moscow in the Christmas ?

Why should you Visit Moscow during Christmas

Given the fraudulent political situation and the increasing difficulty involved in traveling to Russia, there aren't many Westerners wanting to visit Moscow nowadays. However, on this blog, I have a ton of you messaging me constantly, asking me about traveling here and asking for my help in coming to Russia. But I've noticed something: almost every message has been about visiting during the summer. In fact, the vast majority of tourists who come to Russia from abroad come between May and August, and that's no surprise. Summer is the time when people have school holidays, and of course, it can be extremely cold here in the winter. In Moscow, the temperatures can reach as low as -30° in the winter—that is bloody cold.

This year, 2025, we're having a particularly mild winter. It's currently -5, and it's unlikely to drop below -15 this month. But if you're sat in London, Miami, or Berlin, those kinds of temperatures don't exactly make you want to get on a plane to Moscow. But I'm here to tell you that you're wrong. While Moscow is incredibly fun in the summer, you should absolutely give this city a go in the winter. As long as you're well wrapped up, you'll see Moscow is a very magical place.

In this blog, I'm going to take you around some of the highlights of Moscow during the New Year period and hopefully convince you that it's the place to be, not only in the summer. In fact, there's so much to do here in Moscow over this period that I'm just going to focus on the very center of the city, as each little area has its own stuff to do as well.

Where to begin other than Red Square and its famous Christmas Market, situated between the Kremlin, St. Basil's Cathedral, and GUM department store? It's the perfect place to start your Moscow wintertime holiday. The main features of the market are the same every single year: an ice skating rink, the Christmas tree—or the New Year tree, as it's called in Russian—and stalls selling hot food and drinks for visitors. Of course, the market is also a really popular location for people having photo shoots, especially when it's snowing and everything looks so magical with the GUM department store all lit up in the background.

If you want to visit the Christmas Market, it is of course totally free. But you do need to pay to go ice skating. The prices vary depending on whether it's a weekday or weekend, as well as if it's daytime or nighttime. The most expensive ticket is around 1,500 rubles, which is about $15, and that's for 1 hour of skating at the weekend, including skate hire.

While we're on Red Square, let's take a look inside the GUM department store, which is always very well decorated over the festive period. As every year, each store decorates their own branded tree, along with some other companies like banks that sponsor the decorations here. If you saw my blog posts from before the war, you would have seen these trees were decorated by some of the world's biggest luxury brands, like Dior. But in 2025–2026, you're much more likely to see brands that are less familiar to a Western audience but are growing rapidly in Russia today, like this one here, which is from the Chinese car company Exeed.

Of course, the street right outside GUM, which is called Nikolskaya Street, is lit up the same as it is every year. A short walk from Red Square is Manezhnaya Square, which is also decorated every year. In 2025–2026, it’s decorated as an homage to the Soviet holiday variety television show Goluboy Ogonyok or "Little Blue Light." This show was a big part of the Soviet New Year tradition. Each year, the Little Blue Light came on after midnight, just after the speech by the head of the USSR. This year, there are pictures and videos from old episodes of the show, as well as classic New Year decorations in this square. This Soviet TV and movies theme is brand new this year.

Every year, this square has completely different decorations. On Revolution Square, which is basically attached to Manezhnaya Square, there is also a little market as well as an ice skating rink, where there are often shows. From Revolution Square, you can see a building I featured in many of my blogs. Like much of Moscow, it is very well decorated during the festive period, especially with these iconic lights around the back of GUM.

There is another city square, and as I stand here, it’s actually still in the process of being decorated, but it will look a lot like what you see now, with all these trees sponsored by various different premium expensive luxury Russian brands.

Of course, a trip to Moscow in the winter wouldn't be complete without ice skating. The most famous rink here in the capital is Gorky Park, which is totally transformed. Imagine Central Park in New York or Regent’s Park in London, but every single path has been turned into ice, and you need skates to get around the park. There are 16,380 square meters of ice and no set route—you can just skate around like you're on a walk in the park.

This year, unlike previous years, they've actually put up so much fencing and security that I can't get a good video from the rink up close. But from this distance, you can see that it's not just ice skating. Once you're on the ice, you can also visit bars and coffee shops. There's a food court just for people who are on the ice. If you're just walking around like I am today, you can't get to them—they're just for the people skating around the rink.

If you've been to Gorky Park and want to try a different rink, I have two recommendations: one is right by Moscow City, the main business district here in Russia, where you can skate with a view of skyscrapers. The other recommendation is VDNH in the north of the city, which is set up in a similar way to Gorky Park. Until recently, it was actually the biggest man-made ice skating rink in the whole world.

At the start of the blog, I said that I'd focus on the center of Moscow, but I also noted that each area of the city has its own little events, decorations, and celebrations. So before I finish, I want to show you one example: near my apartment is this park, Basmanny Garden, here in the Basmanny region. And just as you see throughout Moscow, this park has been decorated for the New Year. It has an ice rink, it has food trucks, and if you're in Moscow, it might be worth checking out what small parks are near where you're staying to see what's happening away from all the tourists in the center.

</turbo:content>
